Today, several families took part in a special visit to the kitchen and the dining hall of Colegio El Regato Ikastetxea. This initiative is part of our commitment to transparency and close collaboration with our educational community, offering the opportunity to see firsthand how our school meal service works.
Our school continues its commitment to international education and academic excellence with projects that expand the opportunities for our students. This year, we are continuing with the Dual Diploma (American High School Diploma) and, for the first time, we are launching the Erasmus+ project, opening new doors to educational experiences across Europe.
This school year, we have unveiled a major renovation of our Primary classrooms, aimed at offering our students a more functional, comfortable, and up-to-date learning environment.
The improvements made to the second floor include spaces designed to encourage both hands-on learning and creativity, with the addition of new areas such as a lab-kitchen and an art room—spaces where children can develop new skills in a more dynamic way.
At El Regato Ikastetxea, we have launched a new Peer Mediation Programme, aiming to build a school environment rooted in positive relationships, active participation and mutual respect.
The goal is to equip students with the skills they need to manage conflicts in a constructive and peaceful way, while developing key competences such as active listening, emotional expression and collaborative problem-solving.
At El Regato School, we continue to make strong strides on the path to fostering meaningful, deep, and personalized learning for our students. Within our ongoing commitment to improvement, at the start of this school year, our teachers have received training based on formative assessment, a key perspective for comprehensive learning.
On September 2nd and 3rd, 30 teachers from all educational stages received intensive training from the renowned educational advisor Mariana Morales. Morales is the author of several books on formative assessment, and her experience and approach gave our teachers the opportunity to acquire practical tools that can be immediately applied in the classroom.
