The 2nd-year Biosanitary Baccalaureate students are participating in Azterkosta, a program promoted by the Basque Government that encourages the knowledge, study, and care of the coastline. The activity is carried out as part of the Earth and Environmental Sciences (CTM) subject and reflects the school’s commitment to environmental and scientific education.

As part of this project, the students visited Las Arenas Beach (Getxo), where they were able to observe the biodiversity of the coast first-hand and apply various sampling techniques. During the field trip, they collected data and measured physical and chemical water parameters—essential tools for understanding the health of the marine ecosystem.

This experience provides a unique opportunity for students to apply theoretical knowledge in the field, develop scientific skills, and become aware of the importance of protecting our natural environment. The project will continue over several weeks, allowing students to deepen their analysis and interpretation of the results obtained.
